HM Tower of London: Queen’s House & Bell Tower

A complex and combined project to renew the plain tiled and lead-valleyed roof coverings of the 16th century Queen’s House, and to repair its uniquely rare surviving timber frame, plasterwork, windows and rainwater goods, all while fully occupied by the Constable of the Tower and his family, and in conjunction with the cleaning, repair and conservation of the adjacent early 12th century Bell Tower including consolidation of deeply eroded early Reigate stone ashlar blocks. RICS London Conservation Project of the Year Award.
